Already halfway into the 3rd month, and no report yet! I've been too busy keeping up the schedule, for sure ;-)
So what happened in february?
After finishing the hat from hanspun yarn which has been already worn with much happiness, I started a little vest for one of my godsons. The pattern is Hamish from Rowan Junior booklet, and uses Felted Tweed. I had planned for a long to knit this pattern, always found it very cute. One ball dark brown and 2 balls light green waited for too long in the stash, and it was time to knit them up. Problem was, in the needed size 2 and 2 were necessary. But I wasn't so sure that the quantities were not "bordering" and decided to try. The dark color being the one of which the biggest quantity was needed, I added two little stripes of green on the back, and voilą! One vest, and only one ball of each. Only a few yards remain from each, so I am happy to have optimized my destashing.

The pattern is really nice, and the vest fits well (I added 3 cm in length for the boy who is thin and loooong), but while doing the finishing, I faced HORROR. The collar was much too narrow! No way the head could fit. And all the ends were wowen...I tried unravelling the collar band but, even if I would knit it again...No way.
I took the scissors out, and cut the shoulder. I managed, I think, quite well. But it took me quite a long time. I then knitted some shoulder straps, and bought buttons. The vest has been received and as I heard, proudly worn :-) So it was worth it!

Here is a detail of the shoulder :

I also finished the happy socks :

And then...well, I cheated a bit, and continued with the Big Wool remaining from the cardigan (and I still have more) : and I did a scarf following the Lochschal pattern, I thought it cute :

Not so sure about it now, though.
Now on the needles : a UFO from last summer, of which I knitted about 1 and 1/2 50 grams balls in February.

Left for too long on the needles, I am knitting as fast as I can, but I guess I'll have to knit some Big Wool again, 500 gr is a lot when you knit in dk only ;-)
So in february, about 500 grams...Hoping to keep up in March :-)
