Smoking and Inspiration

What is this blurr in the landscape? A cloud, some fog, some smoke? Almost, because it is the Kid Silk Haze in the Smoke shade, which softening the picture I shot through it. By the way, I am happy that finally, since the first of this month/year, the public places are non-smoking in France . What a relief! It was so since last year in Belgium, and I had had a taste of it, it was so good. Now it will be the same in France. Not that I go so much out, anyway. So smoke is gone out of public places, but it has its place at mine. :-)

It is the front of the Labyrinth sweater from the number 30 magazine. I cast on a few days ago, and the back is done, the front almost finished.
I had to rip and reknit part of the back, because I hadn't seen a mistake, and even though it wasn't changing anything to the number of stitches, and in another yarn, or knit tighter, it wouldn't have shown, but here...it was obvious. So I had to rip a bit. It is okay, because it knits up so quickly I may finish it by the end of the week. Which would be good because I am leaving for holidays. And will be light and warm. which is a very good point if you backpack. Not a lot of weight, but a lot of efficiency.

For the moment, I have a new pet yarn, and this is inspiring me lately : Some gorgeous koigu yarn in soft shades of green and grays, and other colours...

It will fit perfectly with the new coat I just got as a christmas present. These hanks were supposed to become socks, but now, I'm thinking...scarf? Yes, I think it will be a scarf, it calls for a scarf. I'll knit a nice, narrow, jewel scarf with this yarn. This is what it tells me. Now I have to decide the pattern.
